Eisenmann announces sales success in Belgium
The Twin Shuttle, the high-performance electrified monorail system for two pallets manufactured by the company Eisenmann, has been sold for the third time since its market launch one year ago. The largest retailer in Belgium has invested approximately four million euros to equip its new logistics centre with this system solution. “We were impressed by the engineers’ expertise ,their flexibility during the tender phase and their quality standards,” explains Gerard Paulussen, Chief Executive Officer of Intron and general contractor of the project.
The contract includes an electrified monorail system with a length of 1,200 metres, 22 Twin Shuttles and 71 single vehicles. The electrified monorail system is used 24/7 in the new logistics centre and it is designed for up to 450 storage and retrieval operations per hour.
“We have further developed the Twin Shuttle increasing its payload from the previous 1,000 kg to 1,500 kg per pallet. Thanks to these performance values, we can plan to use the system for new applications in the future,” explains Sebastiano Sardo , Sales Manger of the conveyor System Department of Eisenmann Anlagenbau &Co.KG, based in Boeblingen, Germany.
